Solvo Global is recruiting a Payroll Tax Assistant to join its Payroll Tax team in Nairobi. This is a full-time position supporting the administrative and operational side of payroll tax processing. You’ll work with a team handling daily tax activities, case management, and quarter-end compliance work for North American clients. The role suits someone organised, detail-focused, and comfortable working independently within a structured environment.

The Payroll Tax Assistant at Solvo Global will be the backbone of routine payroll tax operations, ensuring tasks move smoothly through each processing cycle. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver administrative support across the Payroll Tax Department, handling routine coordination and task management.
  • Process daily payroll tax activities and manage quarter-end tax operations as part of the compliance calendar.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and documentation relevant to payroll and tax functions.
  • Log, track, and resolve assigned cases within the Pulse case management system, ensuring timely progression.
  • Support payroll tax-related projects and ad-hoc tasks as directed by the department.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum six months of professional experience in payroll operations, tax processing, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated organisational ability and strong time management skills.
  • Capacity to work independently with limited direct supervision and to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently and maintain accuracy in administrative work.
  • English language proficiency at B2+ level (upper-intermediate and above).
  • Detail-oriented approach and self-motivated work style.
