KeNHA World Bank Technical Training Scholarship 2026 for Youth in Kenya
The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA), through the Horn of Africa Gateway Development Project, has announced a call for applications for the second cohort of the Technical Capacity Development Training Programme. The programme targets selected unemployed youth, project-affected persons and persons living with disabilities in Isiolo, Meru, Wajir and Garissa counties.
The training is supported under the Government of Kenya and World Bank-financed Horn of Africa Gateway Development Project. Successful applicants will receive technical skills training at craftsmanship level for one year in selected institutions across Kenya.

About the KeNHA Technical Training Scholarship 2026
The aim of this programme is to equip selected applicants with practical technical skills that can improve their employability and economic potential. The training will be offered in various institutions including Nkabune Technical Training Institute, North Eastern National Polytechnic, Bishop Locati Training Institute, Sensei Institute of Technology and Meru National Polytechnic.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the KeNHA Technical Training Scholarship 2026, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be between 18 and 35 years old.
- Must be a resident of Meru, Isiolo, Wajir or Garissa County.
- For TVET, CDACC and MNP examined courses, applicants must have a KCSE certificate, any grade.
- For NITA examined courses, no formal education qualification is required.
- For NITA courses, applicants must have a valid Kenyan National ID and a valid driving licence.
Preference Will Be Given To
- Persons living with disabilities.
- Orphaned applicants.
- Applicants from single-parent families.
- Young single parents.
- Project-affected persons within the target counties.

How to Apply
Interested applicants should collect the application forms from the office of the Area Chief, KeNHA Regional Offices in Isiolo and Garissa, or County Commissioners’ offices in Isiolo, Meru, Wajir and Garissa.
Applicants may also download the application form from the KeNHA website. The application forms are free of charge.
Completed application forms must be signed and stamped by the Area Chief or Assistant County Commissioner as proof of the applicant’s residency status.
