Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with all providers within the Liberty Life network to support service delivery and resolve operational issues.
- Assess and onboard new service providers to ensure they meet the organisation’s standards and can serve client needs effectively.
- Lead fee negotiations with contracted providers in line with Liberty Life rate guidelines and market benchmarks, balancing cost control with service quality.
- Arrange and coordinate provider audits to verify compliance with service standards and assess the quality of care delivered to policyholders.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to Liberty Life policies regarding member access, policy exclusions, and agreed panel rates across the provider network.
- Work with the Underwriting and Actuarial teams to compile monthly utilisation reports, analyse provider performance, and recommend cost-containment measures.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all service provider contracts, manage timely contract renewals, and ensure Know Your Customer (KYC) information is current according to regulatory guidelines.
- Deliver training to service providers on Liberty Life access procedures, communicate updates on health products and policy changes, and clarify claims processes.
- Engage in discount negotiations with providers and oversee the closure and reconciliation of provider accounts to ensure financial accuracy.
- Liaise with internal teams to resolve provider-related disputes and ensure continuity of service across the network.
- Update and maintain the current provider directory and distribute updated panel lists to relevant departments and stakeholders on schedule.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Nursing, Clinical Medicine, Pharmacy, or a related medical discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in provider relations within medical insurance, hospital management, or a related healthcare organisation.
- Demonstrated skill in negotiating service agreements and managing contractual relationships with external parties.
- Strong analytical ability to review provider performance data, identify trends, and recommend operational improvements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, for data analysis and report preparation.
- Working knowledge of healthcare provider networks, service delivery models, and the insurance claims environment.
- Ability to develop and implement cost optimisation strategies without compromising service standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex processes to diverse stakeholder groups.
