Procurement Expert at DT Global – DT Global Kenya Job Details
The position is based full-time in Nairobi, Kenya, where the Procurement Expert will work closely with programme teams, implementing partners, and key stakeholders. The assignment may also require occasional travel to Sudan, subject to prevailing security conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support procurement and tender processes in accordance with KfW and EU procurement regulations.
- Prepare and review procurement plans, Terms of Reference (ToRs), tender dossiers, and evaluation frameworks.
- Support the full tender cycle, including clarifications, evaluations, and documentation of procurement decisions.
- Ensure complete and auditable procurement records in line with donor compliance requirements.
- Provide procurement-related inputs to donor reporting and audits.
- Deliver procurement onboarding and training sessions for programme partners and investees.
- Provide hands-on guidance and knowledge transfer on procurement governance and procedures
Required Qualifications
Education
- Master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a closely related field. Professional certification, such as Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply certification or equivalent, is highly desirable.
Professional Experience
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in procurement is Mandatory.
- Proven experience implementing procurement processes under KfW and/or EU-funded projects is Mandatory.
- Strong experience preparing procurement documentation and managing tender processes.
- Experience in complex or fragile environments is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting private sector or SME-related programs is an added advantage.

- Excellent contract management and procurement documentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.

Language Requirements
- Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory.
