Topscore Consultants Limited is recruiting a Procurement Assistant for a pharmaceutical client based in Nairobi. This is a full-time position designed to support pharmacy operations through efficient procurement and inventory management. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a 100% pharmacy fill rate by ensuring pharmaceutical products remain available and accessible to the pharmacy operation.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts, reduce overstocking, and minimize product expiry losses.
• Coordinate the procure-to-pay cycle in partnership with the Payables Accountant to ensure timely processing and payment of suppliers.
• Execute procurement policies and practices that deliver cost savings and optimize the use of organizational resources.
• Support the Procurement Manager in strategic sourcing activities, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiation discussions.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with pharmaceutical regulations, healthcare standards, and organizational policies.
• Work with pharmacy and inventory teams to identify improvements in service delivery and operational processes.
• Participate in supplier prequalification, evaluation, and tendering exercises to identify suitable vendors.
• Track supplier performance and follow up on timely delivery of quality pharmaceutical products.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or Diploma in Procurement and Logistics or a related supply chain discipline.
• Professional qualification in Supply Chain Management (an advantage, not mandatory).
• Minimum 1–2 years of procurement experience in a healthcare or pharmaceutical setting.
• Working knowledge of procurement regulations and healthcare compliance requirements applicable in Kenya.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Demonstrated ability to organize work, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a structured environment.
• Capacity to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team across pharmacy, finance, and procurement functions.
