About the Role
Summit Human Resource & Marketing Consultant is recruiting a Store Clerk for a full-time position based in Nairobi. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming raw materials against purchase orders and supplier specifications before acceptance into the warehouse
- Unload and organize raw materials in designated storage areas, following safety protocols and maintaining proper material separation
- Update inventory records in the database system as materials are received, issued, or returned, ensuring data accuracy at all times
- Monitor stock levels and flag shortages to the purchasing department to ensure production schedules are met without interruption
- Prepare and issue raw materials to production teams according to the agreed production schedule
- Reconcile physical inventory counts with system records and investigate discrepancies promptly
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all material movements, including receipts, disbursements, and returns
- Ensure all handling and storage practices comply with safety regulations and environmental requirements for chemical materials
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, HND, or Diploma in a relevant discipline such as supply chain management, logistics, or business administration
- Minimum 2–3 years of demonstrated experience in raw material handling and inventory control in a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience working with paint manufacturing materials and familiarity with their properties and handling requirements
- Competency with inventory management software and database systems used in warehouse operations
- Strong organizational abilities and reliable time management skills in a multi-tasking environment
- High accuracy and attention to detail when recording transactions and managing stock counts
- Ability to work collaboratively with production staff and other departments to ensure smooth material flow
- Clear communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers
