Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests professionally, take drink orders with accuracy, and deliver attentive service from order placement through completion.
• Keep the bar counter, glasses, tools, and equipment clean and organized and ready for service at all times.
• Track inventory levels of spirits, mixers, garnishes, and bar supplies; alert management when stock requires replenishment.
• Verify customer age and enforce all relevant alcohol service laws and responsible serving practices.
• Coordinate with front-of-house staff and bar supervisors to maintain service standards and resolve operational issues promptly.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Proven bartending or mixology experience in a hotel, bar, restaurant, or similar hospitality environment.
• Solid understanding of cocktail mixing techniques, drink recipes, and professional beverage presentation methods.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal abilities; comfort engaging with guests from varied backgrounds in a service context.
• Ability to handle multiple drink orders simultaneously while maintaining quality and service pace.
• Demonstrated organizational skills, priority management, and flexibility when service demands shift.
• Knowledge of bar equipment operation, food safety and hygiene standards, and alcohol service legislation in Kenya.
