About the Role

Pawa IT Solutions is hiring a Graphics & Web Designer for a full-time position in Kenya. You will serve as the visual communicator for the brand, dividing your time between graphic design work and web user experience design. This role reports to the Brand Manager and sits within a marketing team that includes a Head of Marketing and a Junior Marketing Associate. You’ll be responsible for translating the company’s brand strategy into cohesive visual outputs across digital, print, and web channels.

The position requires someone who can work with established brand guidelines while also developing custom creative assets for new campaigns and product launches. This is a Software Developer in Kenya role within the design and digital space, ideal for candidates with 2–3 years of professional experience in both graphic and web design disciplines, particularly in tech or B2B SaaS sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality visual content for social media, email campaigns, sales presentations, pitches and digital advertising materials.
• Support the Brand Manager in maintaining and enforcing Pawa IT’s brand guidelines consistently across all company channels and touchpoints.
• Design offline marketing collateral including brochures, banners, merchandise and event materials as required by campaigns.
• Create motion graphics, animated GIFs and short-form video content using tools such as Figma, CapCut Pro, Canva and the Adobe Creative Suite to increase digital engagement.
• Design and build user-focused web pages and landing pages that support conversion goals and user retention.
• Manage, update and maintain the company website built on WordPress, ensuring it remains visually appealing, performs well and contains current content.
• Hand off design assets via Figma and collaborate with the Engineering team to ensure design integrity during web deployment.
• Review web analytics alongside the marketing team to identify opportunities for improving user journeys and visual layouts based on performance data.
• Apply on-page SEO fundamentals including image alt text, page structure and load-speed-conscious design to support organic visibility.
• Build web pages with accessibility standards (WCAG fundamentals) in mind so content is usable across devices and assistive technologies.
• Organize and maintain a clean asset library containing design templates, reusable components and stock photography.
• Stay informed about emerging design trends, web technologies and industry best practices relevant to the tech sector.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Design or a closely related field.
• 2–3 years of professional experience in a role combining graphics design and web design responsibilities. Tech or B2B SaaS industry background is preferred.
• A portfolio demonstrating clean aesthetic sense, strong typography, diverse graphic design work and at least one live, responsive website example.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva and Figma.
• Familiarity with AI tools for workflow optimization; note that AI-generated imagery is not the preferred method for creating final visual assets.
• Strong working knowledge of WordPress and similar content management systems, plus solid understanding of HTML and CSS principles. JavaScript skills are advantageous but not essential; design and layout mastery is the priority.
• Working familiarity with web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics (GA4) to inform design decisions with data.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and deliver work under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to receiving and implementing feedback from the Brand Manager and stakeholders.
