About the Role
Salix Data is recruiting for an Executive Assistant to join its team in Kenya on a full-time basis. The Executive Assistant at Salix Data will report directly to senior leadership and serve as the operational backbone for executive-level functions, from calendar coordination to stakeholder communication.
The successful candidate will be comfortable handling sensitive information, coordinating complex logistics, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism in all interactions. Key Responsibilities
- Manage executive calendars with attention to detail, coordinating meetings between internal teams and external partners while optimizing schedule efficiency
- Arrange domestic and international travel, including booking flights, securing accommodation, and preparing comprehensive itineraries
- Prepare, edit, and proofread executive correspondence, presentations, and business reports for accuracy and clarity
- Plan and oversee meetings, conferences, and corporate events, handling all logistical coordination and catering arrangements
- Act as primary contact between executives and staff, clients, and external organizations, maintaining professional standards consistently
- Screen, prioritize, and respond to incoming calls, emails, and written communications in a timely manner
- Develop and maintain organized filing systems for both digital and physical documents, ensuring easy retrieval and compliance
- Complete special assignments and additional tasks delegated by executives, adapting to shifting organizational needs
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred; 1–2 years of hands-on experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar capacity supporting senior executives
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, combined with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Demonstrated capacity to juggle multiple tasks, solve problems under pressure, and adjust to changing circumstances
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion at all times
- Proven background managing travel logistics and executive calendar systems
- Knowledge of Nairobi’s business landscape and local practices is advantageous
