Key Responsibilities

• Deliver professional and welcoming service to all guests, consistently meeting or surpassing their expectations.
• Prepare a full range of beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and other drinks to established standards.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the bar menu, spirits inventory, wine selection, and cocktail preparation techniques.
• Engage with guests in a manner that makes them feel valued and respected, building rapport throughout their visit.
• Monitor and control bar costs, including waste reduction and stock management, while maintaining personal and financial accountability.
• Keep the bar prep area and service station clean, organized, and ready for service at all times.
• Complete all closing procedures, paperwork, and reconciliation with thoroughness and accuracy.
• Assist colleagues proactively, support management directives, and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Proven bartender experience in a previous role, preferably within upscale or luxury hospitality settings.
• Demonstrated customer service experience in a professional, preferably high-end, environment.
• Strong working knowledge of liquor laws, responsible service practices, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with point of sale (POS) systems and bar management software is preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities, with the capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm, courteous, and focused on guest needs, even in high-pressure situations.
• Reliable attendance, ability to work with minimal supervision, and completion of any required server training or certification programs.
• Familiarity with the hotel’s food outlets, amenities, and general local information to assist guests with recommendations and directions.
