About the Role

PATH is recruiting Temporary- Data Entry Clerks for their Nairobi office to support mobile money transaction processing and financial reconciliation. This is a contract position requiring detail-oriented professionals with strong data management skills. The role sits within PATH’s finance operations team and involves handling M-Pesa transaction data from field teams across multiple counties.

The successful candidate will join a team responsible for verifying financial submissions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely data processing for payment authorization. This temporary position offers exposure to health facility financial systems and county-level operational workflows in Kenya’s public health sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and compile M-Pesa transaction data submitted from field teams and forward verified records to the finance department for payment processing
• Maintain systematic and complete records of all M-Pesa entries processed, ensuring traceability and audit compliance
• Input transaction data into M-Pesa output systems with accuracy and timeliness to meet payment schedules
• Monitor and follow up on return submissions from county offices to guarantee prompt processing and validation of financial data
• Flag discrepancies or missing information in submissions and communicate with field teams for clarification or resubmission
• Generate regular reports on data processing status and submission timelines for management review

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum two years of hands-on experience in data entry and data management support to projects or health facility operations
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, vlookup functions, and data validation
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with colleagues across departments and at different organizational levels
• Capacity to meet tight deadlines and maintain accuracy under workload pressure
• Experience working with M-Pesa systems or mobile money platforms is an advantage
