About the Role

Tatu City Limited is recruiting a Talent Acquisition Associate to build and execute recruitment strategies that attract high-calibre professionals to the organisation. This is a full-time Human Resource position based in Nairobi. The successful candidate will manage end-to-end talent acquisition processes, working across departments to identify and place candidates who align with business objectives and organisational culture. You will be a key partner to hiring managers and senior leadership, translating workforce requirements into targeted sourcing and recruitment initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit and place high-performing candidates into key roles within agreed service level agreements and approved workforce plans.
  • Conduct intake meetings with hiring managers to understand role requirements, develop candidate profiles, and design targeted sourcing strategies.
  • Build and maintain an active candidate pipeline through continuous engagement, relationship management, and promotion of the organisation’s mission and employer brand.
  • Lead employer branding initiatives, including career fairs, talent forums, and industry events designed to increase brand visibility and expand access to talent pools.
  • Review internal talent pools against all vacancies to identify and place ready candidates before initiating external recruitment.
  • Manage recruitment systems and processes, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and continuity across all hiring activities.
  • Oversee relationships with external recruitment partners, educational institutions, background check providers, and other talent service vendors.
  • Prepare weekly recruitment reports including talent sourced and placed, recruitment challenges, and monthly workforce plan updates aligned to key performance indicators.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5–6 years of proven experience in talent acquisition or recruitment.
  • Hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment technology platforms.
  • Strong ability to influence senior leaders through clear communication, strategic thinking, and demonstrated knowledge of labour market data and recruitment methodologies.
  • Track record of coaching hiring managers and line staff on recruitment best practices, selection principles, and interviewing techniques.
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance candidate and employee experience.
  • Working knowledge of employment legislation including data protection and labour law requirements in Kenya.
  • Demonstrated commercial awareness, pragmatism, agility, and a customer-focused approach to problem-solving.
