Customer Care Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive and attend to visitors, clients, and stakeholders professionally
  • Respond to customer inquiries through telephone, email, and other communication channels
  • Provide accurate information on the Council’s services, procedures, and requirements
  • Record, track, and follow up customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback
  • Escalate complex customer issues to appropriate departments for resolution
  • Support implementation of customer service standards, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain customer service records, databases, and correspondence
  • Assist in monitoring customer satisfaction and service delivery performance
  • Support organization of customer engagement forums and public awareness activities
  • Prepare periodic customer service reports and statistics
  • Participate in quality management initiatives and continuous service improvement
  • Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of customer information
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Education Requirements:

  • Diploma in Customer Service Management, Public Relations, Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or related field from recognized institution
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Certification in Customer Service Management, Customer Experience Management, Public Relations or CRM (added advantage)

Experience:

  • Any relevant experience in customer service, front office operations, public relations, or related field is an added advantage

Senior Corporate Communications Officer

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the Council’s Corporate Communications and Visibility Strategy
  • Coordinate communication initiatives supporting Council’s strategic objectives and regulatory mandate
  • Manage Council’s corporate image, reputation and brand identity
  • Coordinate media relations, press briefings, interviews and media engagements
  • Develop and disseminate communication materials including newsletters, annual reports, policy briefs, speeches, press releases and publications
  • Manage digital communication platforms including website and social media channels
  • Monitor media coverage and prepare media monitoring and analysis reports
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement, public awareness and advocacy programs
  • Plan and implement communication campaigns, outreach activities and public education initiatives
  • Produce multimedia communication content including photographs, videos and digital stories
  • Coordinate communication support for Council meetings, conferences, workshops and official events
  • Advise Management on communication, branding and reputation management matters
  • Develop and maintain communication networks with government agencies, development partners, professional associations and stakeholders
  • Respond to internal and external information requests relating to Council activities
  • Coordinate crisis communication and reputation management initiatives
  • Support documentation of Council programs, projects, success stories and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with communication policies and public sector communication standards
  • Supervise staff within Communications Unit
  • Prepare departmental work plans, budgets and performance reports

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communication, Public Relations, Corporate Communication, Mass Communication or related field from recognized institution
  • Membership to relevant professional body in good standing such as Media Council of Kenya, Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK) or equivalent
  • Certificate in Supervisory Course lasting not less than two (2) weeks from recognized institution
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Demonstrated professional competence and achievement in work performance

Experience:

  • Served in the grade of Communications Officer or comparable position for minimum four (4) years
