About the Role

Flexi-Personnel is recruiting Shop Assistants for a poultry business operating across Kenya. This is a full-time position based in one of five key locations, offering hands-on experience in retail operations within the agricultural sector. The successful candidate will support the Shop Supervisor in day-to-day store management, inventory control, and customer service delivery.

The role sits at the intersection of stock management and customer-facing service. You’ll work in a structured environment where compliance with standard operating procedures and biosecurity protocols is essential. Key Responsibilities

• Support the Shop Supervisor with stock management and movement within the assigned outlet, following established standard operating procedures
• Receive and condition live chicks from the hatchery, maintaining them in proper conditions until ready for customer distribution
• Serve customers promptly and professionally, addressing enquiries and processing transactions
• Generate sales invoices and prepare all required documentation for each transaction when directed
• Adhere to company standard operating procedures, policies, and statutory regulations; implement corrective actions when standards are not met
• Follow biosecurity, quality assurance, and animal welfare protocols at all times
• Maintain shop cleanliness and facility upkeep as assigned
• Complete additional duties as directed by the Shop Supervisor

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma in Animal Health, Degree in Animal Health, or qualification in a related field
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in a relevant field such as retail, poultry, or livestock operations
• Competent computer user with ability to operate point-of-sale or invoicing systems
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Solid interpersonal abilities and ability to work collaboratively with supervisors and colleagues
