About the role
- Burn is looking for an IT Project manager intern who will supports the IT Operations team in planning, tracking, and executing projects by coordinating timelines, documentation, and stakeholder communication. The role also focuses on improving processes, maintaining project dashboards, and ensuring smooth delivery of IT initiatives across teams.
Engagement type: 3 Month Contract / Internship
Collaborates with: IT Operations Team, Project Managers, Service Desk, HR
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking IT Operations projects and deliverables.
- Support the creation and maintenance of project documentation, timelines, and status reports.
- Help coordinate cross-functional meetings, capture action items, and follow up on progress with stakeholders.
- Assist with resource scheduling and task allocation across IT Operations workstreams.
- Contribute to risk identification, issue tracking, and escalation processes for active projects.
- Support vendor coordination and procurement tracking for IT equipment and services.
- Help maintain IT operational dashboards and project tracking tools.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives within the IT Operations team.
- Assist with onboarding documentation and IT operational procedures for new team members.
Skills and Experience
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Basic understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, or MS Project.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
