This role sits within the Integrated Delivery and Monitoring team, supporting cash-based transfer and in-kind distribution programmes across field operations. The Programme Assistant – Delivery (SC5) – 2 Positions at World Food Programme (WFP) involves hands-on coordination of beneficiary enrolment, data quality assurance, and distribution reconciliation. You will work directly with Area Offices, cooperating partners, and internal teams to ensure programme data accuracy and operational continuity. This is frontline programme support work—not administrative, but essential to food security delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee beneficiary enrolment in SCOPE, managing accurate data entry, verification, and compliance with WFP standards; maintain and update beneficiary records including biometric information and contact details.
- Lead biometric and programmatic deduplication activities for new and existing identities, conducting regular data integrity checks to identify and resolve duplicate records before distribution cycles.
- Monitor the interagency phone number deduplication platform and anomaly detection dashboards to flag conflicting or duplicate data for exclusion from distributions.
- Track in-kind distributions by monitoring dispatches, commodity accounting, and daily distribution records to support monthly reconciliation and expense reporting.
- Coordinate with Strategic Outcome Managers, Supply Chain, Finance, and Cooperating Partner Management units to resolve discrepancies in distribution data.
- Provide monthly reporting inputs to Country Office 5Ws and COMET systems in collaboration with the analytics team.
- Support Area Offices, technical teams, and cooperating partners during registration and beneficiary rotation activities, resolving operational queries and escalating issues as needed.
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Secondary school education or University degree (Diploma or Bachelor) in Social Sciences, International Development, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience at secondary school level, OR a University degree with at least two (2) years of direct experience in Cash-Based Transfers, Integrated Delivery Management, or related humanitarian programmes.
- Fluent spoken and written English and Somali language.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with corporate digital tools and systems is advantageous.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple data streams and maintain accuracy under time pressure.
- Experience working with beneficiary management systems, biometric data, or distribution logistics is preferred.
