Purpose of Job:

Make a positive impact on the lives of children, youth, and adolescents by creating and maintaining a wholesome family environment. Provide guidance and psychosocial support to children associated with Riziki Children’s Organization.

Qualifications:

• Applicants must be single females, 28 years of age and above.
• Hold a certificate or diploma in social work with a minimum of two years’ experience working closely with children aged 4-17.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and physical health exams.
• Must exhibit creativity, consistency, patience, and compassion as a caregiver with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Demonstrate a commitment to modeling a Christian life.
• This is a live-in full-time position in a rural setting with one day off a week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage household stock (food and non-food items); create a monthly house shopping list.
• Manage and record petty cash.
• Maintain and manage a home library.
• Supervise non-farm staff, delegating duties as needed to ensure the house is orderly at all times.
• Prepare, keep, and maintain proper records of all children.
• Attend relevant meetings and court procedures.
• Provide spiritual training and teach independent life skills to the children.
• Serve as a source of counsel to the children on all matters.
• Develop a holistic, functional house timetable for school days and holidays.
• Prepare children for school every day.
• Accompany children to church and doctor appointments.
• Strictly implement house conduct rules.
• Provide homework assistance.
• Prepare meals and create meal menus.
• Handle housekeeping and farm work.
