About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the agribusiness sector by actively marketing Caritas Microfinance Bank’s agricultural lending products and services.
• Design and execute solutions tailored to agribusiness clients, focusing on portfolio growth and client retention.
• Conduct thorough market research and intelligence gathering to understand agribusiness trends, client needs, and competitive positioning in the agricultural finance space.
• Appraise credit applications from agricultural enterprises, assessing risk and loan viability according to bank policy and prudent lending standards.
• Cross-sell additional banking services—including savings products, insurance, and payment solutions—to existing and new agribusiness clients.
• Manage and grow client deposits to support the bank’s funding objectives while strengthening customer relationships.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related business field.
• Minimum three years of professional banking experience, with at least two years working in business development or client acquisition roles.
• AKIB (Association of Kenya Bankers) banking certificates or equivalent professional banking qualifications (advantageous).
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to assess credit risk and evaluate business proposals independently.
• Proven track record of identifying and closing new business deals in the banking or microfinance sector.
• Sound understanding of agricultural finance, lending products, or agribusiness markets (preferred but not essential).
