Internship – Human Resource & Management
INTERN –HUMAN RESOURCE & MANAGEMENT – 1 POSITION
Internship Period: 1 year (non-renewable)
Reporting to the Deputy Director Human Resource and Administration, the selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Administering leave management processes, including tracking balances and providing reports;
- Preparation of employment contracts;
- Assisting in the coordination and management of internship programmes in line with the stipulated guidelines and policies;
- Coordinating training logistics including budgeting, travel, documentation, and related administrative support; and
- Maintaining staff training records, reports, and evaluation feedback to inform continuous improvement in training programmes.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, Business Management, Industrial Relations or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.

Internship – Commodities
INTERN – COMMODITIES – 1 POSITION
Internship Period: 1 year (non-renewable)
Reporting to the Deputy Director, Commodities, the selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Liaising with the stakeholders to support value addition initiatives through policy and regulation formulation;
- Undertaking on-desk studies and provide information to support research to inform formulation of policies and regulations to aid in development of the Commodities Markets, Virtual Assets Markets and Carbon Credit Markets in Kenya;
- Supporting demand assessment initiatives in relation to products contracts to inform choice of contracts to be traded to inform prioritization;
- Providing logistical support and reports writing to internal and external capacity building programs; and
- Supporting initiatives on the development of draft relevant guidelines on design and development of contracts for Commodities Markets, Virtual Assets Markets and Carbon Credit Markets.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business , Economics, Finance, Policy, Social Sciences, ICT, Records, Library, Knowledge Management, Legal or relevant degree from a recognized and accredited institution;

Internship – Market Supervision
INTERN – MARKET SUPERVISION – 1 POSITION
Internship Period: 1 year (non-renewable)
Reporting to the Deputy Director Market Supervision, the selected candidate will be responsible for;
- Conducting onsite and offsite inspection activities in accordance with risk-based supervision methodologies and approved plans and preparing reports;
- Assisting in conducting risk-profiling activities for regulated persons and preparing reports;
- Maintaining a database on compliance by regulated entities with regulatory requirements;
- Maintaining accurate, up-to-date and detailed electronic information database for regulated persons and periodically perform trend analysis; and
- Conducting research on best practices on market supervision including AML/CFT practices.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: – Law (LLB), Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business Management, ICT, Agriculture, Actuarial Science, Mathematics/Statistics & Accounting or equivalent qualifications from a recognized and accredited institution.

Internship – Research and Analytics
INTERN – RESEARCH & ANALYTICS – 1 POSITION
Internship Period: 1 year (non-renewable)
Reporting to the Deputy Director Research and Analytics, the candidate will be responsible for:
- Supporting stakeholder engagement sessions and preparing responses to client enquiries on capital market, financial sector and economic issues;
- Supporting the preparation and monitoring of budgetforthe division;
- Collecting and editing of EAC member states and other relevant capital market statistics;
- Providing support in the updating of data into designed database systems and providing for confidentiality, integrity and controlled accessibility for future references; and,
- Supporting preparation and publication of the periodic capital market updates and reports.

- A Bachelor’s degree in Business , Economics, Finance, Policy, Social Sciences, ICT, Records, Library, Knowledge Management, Legal or relevant degree from a recognized and accredited institution;

Internship- Issuer Governance & Sustainability
INTERN – ISSUER GOVERNANCE SUSTAINABILITY – 1 POSITION
Internship Period: 1 year (non-renewable)
Reporting to the Deputy Director Approvals Financial Analysis & Deputy Director Approvals Financial Analysis & Sustainability, the selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Assisting in conducting analysis of corporate governance structures and practices by issuers of securities to determine compliance with the Code of Corporate Governance Practices for issuers of securities;
- Assisting in organizing and participating in forums and other engagements with the issuers of securities, the institutional investors and other key stakeholders to facilitate compliance with the code for corporate governance and the stewardship code;
- Organizing and participating in capacity workshops and seminars for institutional investors and issuers on Corporate Governance;
- Maintaining updated databases on all information on corporate governance compliance and standards and undertake trend analysis;
- Assisting in implementing quality management systems and continuously identify and manage risks.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: – Law (LLB), Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business Management, ICT, Agriculture, Actuarial Science, Mathematics/Statistics & Accounting or equivalent qualifications from a recognized and accredited institution
