About the Role
Qona Sacco is recruiting an ICT Support Assistant for its Nairobi office. This is a full-time position supporting the technology infrastructure that enables daily operations across the organization. As an ICT Support Assistant at Qona Sacco, you will be the first point of contact for staff and members experiencing technical difficulties, managing everything from hardware installation to network troubleshooting and user account administration.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, operating systems, networks, printers, and scanners across the organization.
- Monitor computer systems, networks, and ICT infrastructure to identify and address issues before they impact operations.
- Respond to service requests and technical problems from staff with prompt and effective solutions, both remotely and on-site.
- Set up and manage user accounts and access permissions in line with security protocols and organizational requirements.
- Repair and replace ICT equipment when faults cannot be resolved through troubleshooting.

- Conduct training sessions to help staff understand ICT systems and applications relevant to their roles.
- Support information security awareness programs and help staff understand best practices for data protection.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology, or a closely related field.
- Minimum two years of work experience in ICT support, systems administration, or a similar technical role.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose technical problems and implement practical solutions independently.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a customer service mindset when supporting staff and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of information security best practices and data protection principles (preferred but not essential).
