ICT/Mathematics Teacher at All Saints’ Cathedral – All Saints' Cathedral Kenya Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach learners in Mathematics & Computer Science-related subjects such as Pretechnical, Integrated Science and Business Studies etc according to the Competency Based curriculum.
  • Prepare and deliver lessons that facilitate active learning and engagement.
  • Develop instructional materials such as syllabi, lesson plans, schemes of work and tests.
  • Assess students’ progress and provide feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Create a conducive learning environment that promotes critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Incorporate technology in teaching and learning activities.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in computer science.
  • Provide guidance and support to students to develop their computer skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices and curriculum delivery.
  • Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills.
  • Preparing teaching aids/ reallia and applying them in delivering leaner centered lessons.
  • Serving as a Class Teacher/ Class Manager and assuming responsibility of the welfare of class learners and addressing parents’ concerns satisfactorily.
  • Any other duty as may be assigned by the Principal or his delegatee from time to time.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in computer programming languages such as Python, Java, or HTML.
  • Familiarity with educational technology tools and software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of the Kenyan education system and curriculum.

Academic and Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Education in Computer and Mathematics or a related field.
  • Must be registered by TSC
  • 3 years previous experience teaching computer science preferred.
  • Ability to handle other learning areas such as Mathematics and Business Studies will be an added advantage
