ICT Assistant at Co-operative Bank of Kenya

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage the ICT infrastructure and server of the SACCO through planning and organizing systems for efficient and effective business operations.Develop and communicate disaster mitigation and recovery plans in-case of system failure/malfunction to ensure business continuity.
• Support the DR site failovers as per outlined SACCO schedules.
• Liaising with the system vendors to implement new processes and/or fixing system related issues to enhance operations.
• Maintain an accurate account of all changes in the System.
• Ensuring that data and system backups are effectively administered using local and/or cloud backups.
• Maintain an accurate and up to date ICT Asset Register.
• Managing the surveillance system and ensuring that reliable footage backups are accessible whenever required.
• Ensuring that all workstations are always up and working normally.
• Supporting all departments in reports development from the system.
• Training users on deployed SACCO systems.
• Ensuring 100% availability and security of the SACCO ICT infrastructure.
• Facilitate development, implementation and review of ICT policies.
• Coordinate the formulation and the implementation of ICT projects.
• Handling the Sacco’s main email by addressing and responding to members mail as per set timelines.
• Follow any other job-related instructions and perform any other job-related duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications & Experience

• Appointment to the position will be made from persons who:
• Are holders of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT related field.
• Has a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience, 2 of which must be in a similar role.
• Project Management skills will be an added advantage.
