About the Role
Healthy U is recruiting for an Executive Assistant to the CEO in Nairobi. This is a full-time position offering direct support to the Chief Executive Officer across executive operations, Board coordination, and stakeholder liaison. The role sits at the heart of organisational leadership, requiring someone who can manage competing priorities while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
The Executive Assistant to the CEO at Healthy U will function as a strategic partner to the Chief Executive, bridging communication between the CEO, Board of Directors, Senior Leadership Team, and external stakeholders. You will be instrumental in enhancing executive effectiveness, supporting governance frameworks, and ensuring accountability flows through the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the CEO’s calendar, coordinate meetings and appointments, and arrange travel logistics while prioritising conflicting demands and protecting executive time.
- Prepare meeting agendas, briefing documents, and executive correspondence for Board, Committee, and Senior Leadership meetings.
- Coordinate Board and Committee sessions, compile and distribute Board packs with supporting materials, and maintain formal records including minutes and resolutions.
- Monitor and track Board action items and management commitments to ensure timely execution and accountability.
- Consolidate reports, presentations, and strategic updates from the Senior Leadership Team for CEO review and decision-making.
- Support the coordination of strategic initiatives and special projects by preparing executive reports, dashboards, briefing papers, and conducting analytical research.
- Act as the primary liaison between the CEO and internal teams, Board members, business partners, and external stakeholders, ensuring professional and timely communication.
- Maintain secure records of confidential and governance-related documentation, adhering strictly to corporate policies and confidentiality protocols.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Corporate Governance, Communications, Human Resources, Finance, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of verified experience supporting a Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director, Executive Director, or other C-suite executive.
- Demonstrated track record managing Board processes, governance frameworks, and executive administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced skills in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word for report and presentation development.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft executive correspondence and communicate with senior stakeholders.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information with absolute discretion and integrity, coupled with sound professional judgment.
- Exceptional organisational and planning capability, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strategic thinking and business acumen, with strong problem-solving capability and stakeholder management skills.
