About the Role

HF Group is seeking a Direct Sales Representative-Bancassurance to drive insurance product sales through bank channels and customer networks. This full-time position is based in Kenya and focuses on delivering tailored insurance solutions to both existing and new customers. The role combines relationship management, sales execution, and customer service within the bancassurance sector, a channel that merges banking and insurance distribution.

As a Direct Sales Representative-Bancassurance at HF Group, you will be responsible for meeting revenue targets, acquiring new customers, and maintaining profitable client relationships. You will operate independently while coordinating with internal teams, using a combination of direct outreach and relationship-based selling to expand the customer base and increase policy uptake.

Key Responsibilities

• Present and promote insurance products to both existing customers and qualified prospects, positioning solutions that match their coverage needs.
• Build and maintain strong business relationships with customers, referral sources, and bank partners to support long-term client retention.
• Conduct cold calling and lead outreach activities, using feedback to refine your approach and increase conversion rates.
• Address customer concerns and complaints promptly, working to resolve issues in a way that strengthens satisfaction and loyalty.
• Achieve agreed sales targets and revenue goals within set timeframes, tracking progress against territory benchmarks.
• Work with sales colleagues and other departments to coordinate campaigns, product launches, and customer activation initiatives.
• Assess market potential in your territory, maintain sales records, and prepare regular status updates on performance metrics.
• Report to management on customer feedback, market gaps, competitive activity, and opportunities for new products or service enhancements.
• Stay informed of industry regulations, compliance requirements, and current promotional strategies relevant to insurance sales.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited institution; a Bachelor’s degree is advantageous.
• Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance (COP) — mandatory for this position.
• ACII or AIIK professional qualification, or active progress towards one of these credentials.
• Minimum six months of direct sales experience, preferably in insurance, financial services, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage prospects and explain complex products clearly.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities; capable of prioritizing multiple leads and tasks under pressure.
• Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills, combined with a results-driven mindset and customer-focused approach.
• Working knowledge of insurance industry regulations and basic familiarity with insurance products and coverage types.
