About the Role

Accor is recruiting a Breakfast Commis for a full-time position based in Nairobi. As a Breakfast Commis at Accor, you will work in the kitchen supporting the preparation and delivery of breakfast service across à la carte and buffet offerings. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare all breakfast food items according to established hotel recipes and service standards for both à la carte and buffet menus
• Maintain proper stock rotation in all refrigeration units to reduce food wastage and spoilage
• Keep all kitchen work areas, utensils and equipment clean and properly maintained throughout service
• Communicate daily with outlet chefs regarding guest feedback and any adjustments needed to menu items
• Demonstrate full knowledge of all breakfast menu items, daily specials and current promotions
• Contribute actively during shift briefings by sharing ideas and suggestions for service improvement
• Follow all kitchen policies, safety protocols and food handling procedures without exception
• Work collaboratively with kitchen colleagues and support their adherence to hotel standards and expectations

Requirements & Qualifications

• Previous hands-on experience working in a culinary kitchen environment
• Diploma or professional certificate in a culinary discipline (preferred)
• Journeyman’s papers or international culinary equivalent (advantageous)
• Strong ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality in a fast-paced kitchen
• Solid interpersonal skills and ability to solve problems efficiently
• Demonstrated reliability, responsibility and ability to work as part of a team
• Sound knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
