About the Role

GoCare Training Institute is recruiting for an Accounts And Finance Officer to join their team in Nairobi on a full-time basis. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Kenyan accounting standards and statutory requirements
• Manage budgeting processes, including forecasting, variance analysis, and provision of financial insights to support management decisions
• Maintain accounting records and reconcile accounts using accounting software and ERP systems such as QuickBooks or Sage
• Ensure timely filing of tax returns and adherence to all relevant tax and regulatory obligations in Kenya
• Conduct financial analysis using Excel and other data management tools to identify trends and areas for cost control
• Support audit processes and liaise with external auditors on compliance matters
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to maintain healthy cash flow
• Generate management reports and provide regular updates on the institute’s financial position

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field
• CPA Finalist status or equivalent professional qualification
• A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience working in finance and accounting roles
• Demonstrated knowledge of Kenyan statutory regulations, tax law, and compliance frameworks
• Proven experience preparing financial reports, managing budgets, and overseeing compliance activities
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP platforms, including QuickBooks, Sage, or similar systems
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to perform complex spreadsheet functions and financial modelling
• Strong analytical mindset, clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to work independently and lead financial processes
