Key Responsibilities

• Record daily accounting transactions and maintain organized financial records for audit and compliance purposes
• Process invoices, local purchase orders, payments, and receipts for contractors and suppliers
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and expenditures to track financial performance against approved allocations
• Prepare VAT reconciliations and ensure full compliance with tax regulations including VAT, withholding tax, and PAYE requirements
• File statutory tax returns and payments on schedule to meet regulatory deadlines
• Prepare bank statement reconciliations, project account reconciliations, and petty cash verification
• Generate monthly financial reports, project cost summaries, and management reports for internal use
• Collaborate with project managers, suppliers, and auditors to verify accuracy and ensure timely reporting of financial data

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, CPA(K), or a related financial field
• Minimum four years of accounting experience, preferably in construction and real estate project environments
• Demonstrated experience in project cost tracking, tax compliance, and audit support
• Working knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Tally, plus proficiency in MS Office
• Sound understanding of accounting principles and practical knowledge of VAT, withholding tax, and general tax compliance frameworks
• Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to document financial transactions accurately
• Attention to detail, accuracy in financial work, and effective time management capabilities
