Financial Accountant at Living Goods – Living Goods Kenya Job Details

The Role

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Accountant. As a financial  Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing financial processes and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the overall financial health and success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the month end reporting process to deliver timely and accurate information.
  • Assist with the year end audit process and statutory reporting.
  • Reconcile fixed asset register to the general ledger on monthly basis.
  • Compute the monthly depreciation and post the depreciation journal in the accounting system.
  • Compute taxes and prepare tax returns.
  • Process timely mobile money and vendor payments and conduct the subsequent ledger reconciliations.
  • Reconcile accounts payables and receivables.
  • Report on organization financial health and liquidity.
  • Improve the efficiency of financial processes and procedures and monitor compliance.
  • Share knowledge between team members to ensure cover is available when needed.
  • Actively develop your own skills to ensure current knowledge of applicable standards and regulations.
  • Comply with financial policies and regulations.

Academic Qualifications & Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Holder of CPA,ACCA or other accounting related certification .
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance and accounting
  • Proven experience as a financial Accountant or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and report writing skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, take initiative, and work without constant supervision.
  • Honest, reliable, diplomatic, and well organized.
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency in MS office suite.
