About the Role

CDL Human Resource is recruiting an AI Workflow & Automation Specialist for a U.S.-based virtual assistant services provider serving small businesses, churches, and nonprofits. This is a full-time remote position based in Nairobi. The specialist will design, build, and maintain AI-powered workflows that connect business systems, automate routine tasks, and integrate artificial intelligence tools to enhance operations across sales, marketing, service delivery, and administrative functions.

The role sits at the intersection of business operations and technology implementation. You will work with no-code and low-code automation platforms to eliminate manual work, improve data accuracy, and scale client processes. This is ideal for someone who understands workflow design principles and can translate business requirements into automated solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy AI-assisted workflows using no-code and low-code automation platforms tailored to client needs.
  • Build automations for lead capture, customer relationship management, outreach campaigns, reporting, scheduling, and day-to-day business operations.
  • Develop reusable artificial intelligence prompts for email composition, research tasks, report generation, and document creation.
  • Map existing business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend workflow improvements based on best practices.
  • Connect and integrate business applications using platforms including Zapier, Make, Airtable, Power Automate, and HubSpot.
  • Test, troubleshoot, monitor, and maintain deployed automation workflows to ensure continuous performance.
  • Clean, organize, and validate business data to guarantee accuracy and reliability of automated processes.
  • Prepare standard operating procedures, documentation, user guides, and training materials for client teams.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, BBIT, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related IT field.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in workflow automation, AI tools, business systems administration, CRM management, or operations roles.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with automation platforms such as Zapier, Make, Power Automate, Airtable Automations, or HubSpot Workflows.
  • Working knowledge of AI tools including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Microsoft Copilot.
  • Strong understanding of workflow automation principles, data management practices, process documentation, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Fluent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Proficiency in analytical problem-solving, troubleshooting, and project organization.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work setting.

Preferred Skills & Experience

Experience with APIs, webhooks, JSON, or version control systems (Git/GitHub) is advantageous. Programming knowledge in Python, JavaScript, SQL, React, or Node.js is valued. Familiarity with CRM systems, dashboard development, and reporting tools strengthens your profile. Hands-on experience with business productivity platforms such as Notion, ClickUp, Asana, Monday.com, Microsoft 365, or Google Workspace is beneficial.
