About the Role
Oshwal Academy Nairobi is seeking an ICT Support Technician to join its technology support team on a full-time basis. The ICT Support Technician at Oshwal Academy Nairobi will provide technical assistance and maintenance across the school’s information and communications technology infrastructure. Founded in 1950, Oshwal Academy Nairobi operates as a co-educational international school serving students aged 1.5 to 18 years, following the British National Curriculum through Cambridge and Pearson examination bodies.
This role is based in Nairobi and forms part of the Education sector in Kenya. The successful candidate will support the school’s operations by ensuring technology systems run smoothly and reliably for staff and students across all campuses.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for ICT hardware and software systems across the school
- Maintain and repair computers, servers, and networked devices
- Respond to user requests and resolve technology-related issues in a timely manner
- Monitor network performance and identify potential problems before they affect operations
- Update and patch software applications and operating systems as required
- Maintain records of support tickets, incidents, and resolutions
- Collaborate with the ICT team to implement technology improvements and upgrades
- Ensure compliance with school ICT policies and security protocols
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Information and Communications Technology or a related field
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in ICT support or a similar technical role
- Demonstrated knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking systems
- Proficiency in troubleshooting common ICT issues and providing user-level technical support
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with staff and students at all levels
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise support requests effectively
- Experience working in an educational institution is an advantage
