1. Projects Coordinator
Job Overview

Rescue For Hunger seeks to employ a Projects Coordinator within the shortest time possible, The Projects Coordinator supports the efficient operational activities, ensuring projects coordination are done properly, He / She will make sure all project activities are implemented as per our mission and vision principles

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain operational records and databases.
  • Support logistics, travel, and equipment mobilization.
  • Support other staff in coordinating the overall project implementation and ensure that Compassion Aid project activities are implemented in accordance with the relevant policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Conduct quarterly reviews of work plans and budgets and submit work plans and progress reports using project indicator data per the Monitoring and Evaluation team guidance.
  • Maintaining systems for continuous monitoring and provision of regular feedback through scheduled meetings with internal teams and sites or specific technical groups, mostly by teleconference.
  • Coordinate scientific and operational activities internally and externally, including organizing meetings
  • Coordinate ordering and distribution of resources to sites for centrally procured items, and items for sites, ensuring inventories are available for the coordination office.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for various local and international trips and meetings.
  • To liaise with other departments within the research Programme to ensure smooth running of the projects

Work Experience needed

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, project management or a related field with at least 2 years relevant working experience or a science degree plus at least 1 years of working experience as a study or clinical trials coordinator
  • Demonstrable experience in writing reports in English
  • Demonstrable experience in organizing large meetings or networks
  • Research work experience and four equivalent publication points
  • Familiarity with migration and refugees principles and best practices
  • Strong facilitation, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong analytical and writing skills
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in cross-cultural environments, especially with international participants.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required,

2. Health and Safety Officer
Job Overview
The HSO will be responsible for supervising  and supporting CHWs in providing health education, working with the community in arranging place/site visits. He/she will support Rescue for Hunger CHWs on the timely treatment of children for diseases such as pneumonia and diarrhea, The HSO will be responsible for sensitizing the communities and supporting them to identify main health problems and helping them on how to address those health problems.
  Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • To do risk assessments and audits, checking that machinery and equipment are safe and that management systems and working methods meet current legal standards
  • Working with managers, employees and trade unions to make policies and take action to encourage
  • Identify and report immediately to the Community Health Project Coordinator any problem that may interfere in achieving program objectives
  • Data collection, insertion, data processing analysis and develop a report.
  • Detail the achievements and share the lessons via conducting a regular monthly meeting with the team, CHWs, and community committee members to discuss all related issues
  • Develop a monthly plan and discuss with the team the required activities that need to be implemented
  • Conduct a regular supervision visit to supervise and evaluate the field activities and provide regular feedback to community health volunteers in a constructive way and accurately address the training gaps during encouraging supervision visits
  • Assist in the training needs, coordinate training sessions and community meetings.
  • Explaining regulations in areas such as occupational health; noise, dust and fumes; fire safety and moving and storing dangerous materials, and making sure that everyone follows them
  • Working with managers, employees and trade unions to make policies and take action to encourage
  • Conduct weekly supervisor meetings with CHCs
  • Perform other tasks as may be assigned by Supervisor.
  • S/He will ensure integration of protection and gender throughout project implementation. This includes the introduction of mechanisms to enable women to participate in decision making around public health issues.
  • S/He will carry out any other relevant tasks assigned by line manager within the scope of program implementation plan.
  • Running training courses to encourage and promote safe working practices

Qualifications

  • University degree or higher in Community Health, nursing, medical background, public health programes, agribusiness, program management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in NGOs, OPDs, or development programs, preferably in Community Health Programs.
  • Experience with adult learning/participatory training methodologies.
  • Practical understanding of barriers faced by persons with disabilities in accessing opportunities in agricultural value chains and solutions to overcome them.
  • Proven experience as a trainer, facilitator, or mentor in capacity-building workshops.
  • Excellent interpersonal, networking, and communication skills.

Skills Needed

· Leadership and good interpersonal skills including the ability to listen; negotiation skills at different levels; flexible and adaptable to work under unstable environments and under pressure with limited support.

· Capacity Building skills

· Good computer skills (Microsoft Office).

Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills.

· Flexible and willing to work additional hours to ensure that the required results are delivered.

· High level of reliability, objectivity and honesty.

· Willingness to work in Somalia environment in unsocial hours and harsh conditions.

3. Administrative Officer
Job Overview

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Officer , to Provide administrative support for the preparation of reports, funding applications, and other documents. Handle incoming calls and emails, providing excellent customer service. Liaise with suppliers and place orders for office supplies as needed. Assist in financial tasks such as invoicing and budget tracking

Key Responsibilities

    • Effectively coordinate all actions related to human resource administration, including recruitment, placement, promotion, performance appraisal, classification reviews, separation, and training, ensuring alignment with UN rules and procedures.
    • Advise on conditions of service, duties, responsibilities, and entitlements under Staff Rules and Regulations.
    • Advise managers and staff on the interpretation and application of HR policies, regulations, and rules.
    • Assess training needs, develops and delivers staff development programmes, and supports the implementation of HR-related policies and specific training initiatives (e.g., code of conduct).
    • Supervise Human Resources Assistants in managing staffing tables, contracts, and other HR administrative transactions
    • Take the lead with respect to the preparation and implementation of the work programme, ensuring that financial resources are utilized to implement activities in accordance with the programme budget and allotments issued.
    • Monitor and review the work programme and budget by conducting regular and special reviews to assess progress of actual work versus the programme plan. Coordinate the production of programme reports.
    • Define requirements and work with systems units with respect to improving budget reporting systems and cost-effective utilization of programme resources.
    • Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications;

  • University degree in business or public administration, finance, Agriculture or law accounting is required.
  • A first level university degree in combination with two (2) additional years of qualifying experience may be added advantage

Work Experience;

  • A minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in administration, budget and finance, accounting and/or human resources management is required.
  • Experience in implementing administrative policies, frameworks and standard operating procedures is required.
  • Supporting process improvement and change management within a large international organization or non-governmental organization (NGO) or similar organization is required.
  • Collecting and analyzing data to identify trends and insights for data driven planning, decision making, presentation, and reporting is required

      • Petty Cash Management, manage petty cash float, process approved payments, track balances, and ensure accountability with receipts and supporting documents.

      • Asset Tracking, support finance-related asset tracking in line with our Asset Management Policy.
      • Administrative & Supportive Functions:
      • Document Management, ensure financial records (physical and digital) are complete, organized, and audit-ready.
      • Interdepartmental Support, work with Operations, HR, and other departments to ensure financial processes are efficient and aligned with organizational goals.
      • Learning & Compliance Updates, stay informed of changes in financial regulations. Proactively recommend improvements to local finance processes.

Qualifications;

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

Work Experience;

  • Experience working with NGOs or social enterprises.

  • Previous involvement in multi-location operations or field office support
