- Oversee participant outreach, registration and application management for all programme cohorts operating in-country.
- Coordinate data collection from participants and field activities, ensuring accurate capture and timely submission to meet monitoring, evaluation and reporting deadlines.
- Function as the country safeguarding focal point for all participant-facing work, escalating concerns to the designated safeguarding lead in accordance with programme policy.
- Handle petty cash management, expense claims processing and activity retirement documentation in collaboration with the finance team.
- Maintain organised files, participant databases and partner contact systems, keeping all records current and accessible.
- Assist the Programme Lead with country activity planning, reporting and updates, and provide cross-team support during peak delivery periods.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 2 to 4 years of experience in programme administration, project coordination or operational support within an NGO, development organisation or entrepreneurship programme.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Development Studies or a related field.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with demonstrated capacity to track multiple workstreams simultaneously without losing detail.
- Genuine curiosity about sector developments; you read industry publications, follow startup and innovation news, and stay informed about the entrepreneurship landscape.
- Proven networking and relationship-building ability; comfort initiating contact with new people and accessing unfamiliar communities and networks.
- Strong online research capability, with the ability to use findings strategically to identify opportunities and surface talent.
- Proficiency with data collection tools (digital and paper-based), Google Workspace or Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn new systems rapidly.
- Proactive mindset with a self-starting approach; you identify what needs doing and take action without waiting for instruction. You work well under pressure and maintain focus in a fast-moving environment. You must be based in Kenya with valid right to work documentation.
