Yard Clerk at Interactive Resource Management Ltd

Responsibilities

• Receiving of the trucks/ wagons from ICD into the yard, inspect the containers for damages and obtain KPA EIR for any recorded damages and confirm the seal is intact.
• Confirm correct details of container, seal numbers, truck and driver are well captured on delivery notes as received physically in the yard.
• Receive, stack, record details of container in the yard receiving sheet with their position and then post it in the company ERP system within an hour.
• Receive, stack and record weights of export containers in the export yard.
• Issue delivery notes and equipment interchange report for export containers received to truck drivers and a copy to customer service.
• Post the export containers in the system with the truck details.
• Prepare and load export containers on to wagons to be railed to ICDN.
• Cite and place containers issued with verification memos within 30 minutes of receiving request.
• Issue loading slips for containers with gate pass, enter the trucks, load and record details in the loading sheet capturing container number, size and all seal numbers within 30 minutes of entry.
• Prompt release of containers issued with outward EIR having record of any damage and seal numbers after confirmation with KRA and yard supervisor.
• Log all client complaints and escalate the same to yard supervisor for appropriate action.
• Adherence to all partner government agencies requirements for the release of containers to the client.
• Any other tasks as may be allocated from time to time.

Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, ICD (Inland Container Depot), CFS, warehousing, port operations, or clearing & forwarding.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and perform well with time-sensitive tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Team player attitude.

Academic background

• A bachelor’s degree or diploma.
