Job Title: Teller (2 Positions)

Job Purpose:
The Teller will be responsible for providing frontline financial services to SACCO members, including cash handling, deposits, withdrawals, and account transactions. The role ensures accuracy, compliance with financial policies, and excellent customer service to support member satisfaction and trust in the SACCO.
Key Responsibilities:

Receive and process deposits, withdrawals, and loan repayments accurately.

Balance cash drawers daily and reconcile any discrepancies promptly.
-
Verify member identity, account details, and transaction authenticity.
-
Issue receipts, account statements, and provide transaction confirmations.
-
Respond to member inquiries on account balances, products, and services.
-
Promote SACCO products and cross-sell services to members at the counter.
-
Maintain accurate records of transactions in the SACCO system.

Adhere strictly to cash handling procedures, security protocols, and compliance regulations.

Report suspicious transactions or potential fraud cases to the supervisor.

Provide excellent customer service by addressing member needs in a professional manner.
Qualifications & Requirements:
-
Diploma in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Teller, Cashier, or in a financial institution is an advantage.

Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic financial software.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

High integrity, honesty, and ability to handle confidential information.
