Job Purpose:

We invite you to join our team as a Technical Stores Keeper, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of our maintenance department. Your responsibilities will include managing technical materials, parts, tools, and equipment to ensure their availability, efficient procurement, and accurate inventory records. By working closely with our maintenance and production teams, you will help minimize downtime, increase productivity, and enhance the overall efficiency of our maintenance operations. We are looking for candidates with over 3 years of experience in a similar position or field.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Efficiently manage and control inventory, which includes receiving, storing, and tracking technical items.
  2. Collaborate closely with our maintenance and procurement teams to streamline the procurement process.
  3. Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock checks.
  4. Identify obsolete or damaged items and take action to dispose of or replace them.
  5. Keep meticulous documentation, adhere to safety protocols, and support audit processes.
  6. Stay updated on relevant products, tools, and technologies in the field.
  7. Contribute to continuous process improvements in stores management.
  8. Source and select suppliers for technical materials, parts, tools, and equipment.
  9. Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procurement policies.
  10. Work closely with the maintenance planner to provide the necessary materials, parts, and tools for planned maintenance activities.
  11. Collaborate with the maintenance engineer to identify suitable alternatives for unavailable items.
  12. Liaise with production personnel to understand their material requirements and ensure timely availability.
  13. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize stores management processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with technical certifications being a plus.
  • Previous experience as a store’s keeper in a technical or maintenance environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management.
  • Familiarity with technical materials and equipment.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and MS Office.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in procurement and negotiation skills.
  • Physical stamina for manual tasks.
  • Adherence to safety protocols.
  • Problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulations.
