About the Role

We are recruiting a Social Work Trainer at Konoin Technical Training Institute to join our team in Kenya. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee students during field placements, community outreach initiatives, and social welfare projects to ensure quality learning outcomes.
• Monitor and document all student fieldwork activities, community engagement efforts, and related project reports for quality assurance and accreditation purposes.
• Assess student competencies through practical demonstrations, written evaluations, and real-world project assessments in social work practice.
• Contribute to curriculum review, updating, and implementation to keep training relevant to current social work practice in Kenya.
• Uphold professional standards, maintain classroom and field discipline, and model ethical conduct during all training and practical activities.
• Supervise industrial attachments and ensure students develop proficiency through structured, supervised practical experience.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Hold a Diploma in Social Work or a closely related field from an accredited Kenyan or internationally recognized institution.
• Possess a Diploma in Technical Education or a TVET Trainer Certificate with demonstrated competency in adult pedagogy and training delivery.
• Be currently registered as a certified trainer with TVETA (Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority).
• Bring a minimum of two years of hands-on experience in teaching, training delivery, or relevant social work practice and community development work.
• Demonstrate proficiency in computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, email communication, and basic data management systems.
• Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and ability to mentor diverse student populations in Kenya’s social sector.
• Show commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with social work practice standards and TVET regulations.
