Requirements & Qualifications

  • Diploma in Secretarial Studies from KNEC or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution
  • Typewriting III certification at 50 words per minute minimum
  • Shorthand III certification at 100 words per minute minimum
  • Business English III or Communication II qualification
  • Commerce II, Office Management III, or Office Administration and Management III certification
  • Secretarial Duties II and Office Practice II qualifications
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications and office software
  • Membership of the Kenya National Secretaries Association
  • Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010
