CFAO Kenya is recruiting two Pro Technician positions to join their growing technical team. This is a full-time Engineering role in Kenya where you’ll specialize in the service, maintenance, and repair of agricultural machinery. As a Pro Technician in this Engineering vacancy in Kenya, you’ll diagnose mechanical failures, perform complex repairs including engine overhauls and transmission work, and ensure all equipment meets strict safety and quality standards before returning to clients. This role bridges workshop expertise with field service knowledge, requiring both hands-on technical skills and the ability to train operators on equipment maintenance and safe operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute field and workshop repairs following established quality control protocols to guarantee customer satisfaction and achievement of service targets
• Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble tractor components with precision to restore proper mechanical function
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections on all agricultural machinery to verify system performance and readiness for customer handover
• Diagnose mechanical issues using electronic service tools and manufacturer specifications, then implement appropriate repairs
• Perform engine overhauls, hydraulic system maintenance, and transmission repairs on both medium and high horsepower tractors
• Train equipment operators on safety protocols, routine maintenance procedures, and proper tractor operation to minimize downtime
• Maintain detailed service records in the dealer portal and technical documentation systems for audit and compliance purposes
• Uphold 5S workplace standards and ensure all work areas remain clean, organized, and safe according to EHS guidelines

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Agricultural Machinery, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
• Minimum two years of hands-on experience in tractor service, agricultural equipment repair, or similar technical roles
• Proficiency with electronic diagnostic tools (EST) for identifying faults in agricultural tractors
• Strong knowledge of manufacturer manuals, technical specifications, and factory-approved repair procedures
• Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to complete online reporting in dealer management systems
• Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical equipment operators
• Problem-solving mindset with drive to improve efficiency and take initiative in your work
• Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to accuracy in parts allocation and labor documentation
