Nurse Job at M.P. Shah Hospital – M.P. Shah Hospital Kenya Job Details
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide highly specialist nursing care. Act as an expert practitioner and work autonomously, managing a caseload of patients within a speciality whilst working as part of a multidisciplinary team (defined or virtual), delivering individualised and personalized direct patient care.
- Co-ordinate the provision of specialist nursing service to patients where applicable for in and out patients or those in other health care settings, effectively liaising with multidisciplinary colleague
- Provide expert advice for complex caseloads, using evidence based/patient centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate routine, complex and specialist interventions.
- Recognise significant observations made, and use them to develop and initiate and devise plans of patient care within specialised practice/undertake diagnostic procedures/clinical investigations within expanded practice protocols and clinical competence.
- Implement a range of techniques to ensure set and monitor standards of clinical practice, audit, research and teaching to set monitor and continually improve standards of care and patient experience
- Customer care. Educate patients and family members on treatments and care plans by establishing and maintaining highly effective communication skills with patients, carers/relatives, and professionals across health and social services
- Liaise with other medical professionals. Work with other medical professional such as surgeons, physicians and care givers that are treating the patient, updating them on the patient status, and receive orders or patient care recommendations
Qualifications & Requirements
- Higher Diploma in Paediatric Critical Care Nursing
- Must have a valid licensure from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
- Must be a qualified and Registered Nurse (RN/RM/KRCHN/BSN).
- Must have a valid licensure from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
- Must have a Basic Life Support Certification
- Proficient in Basic computer skills.
- Must have an in-depth understanding of safety guidelines
