You’ll manage evaluation timelines, oversee data audits, and lead knowledge dissemination initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and operationalise monitoring and evaluation strategies that define measurable indicators for outputs, outcomes, and long-term impact across all programmes.

  • Lead the implementation of evaluation frameworks, oversee consultant recruitment for evaluation activities, and ensure compliance with audit and verification standards.
  • Conduct regular reviews of MEAL tools, data management systems, and reporting processes to strengthen quality and facilitate continuous programme improvement.
  • Collaborate with programme teams and workstream leads to track progress toward strategic objectives and extract learning lessons for broader organisational benefit.
  • Support the development of success stories and impact narratives that communicate programme achievements to donors, stakeholders, and the public.
  • Maintain comprehensive MEAL documentation systems including guidelines, datasets, analysis files, and presentations for major organisational activities.
  • Act as an internal and external ambassador for monitoring and evaluation practice, promoting MEAL knowledge transfer across the foundation and partner networks.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in monitoring and evaluation, social sciences, public health, development studies, or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–4 years of professional experience designing and implementing MEAL frameworks within NGO or development settings in Kenya or East Africa.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in evaluation methodologies, data analysis, and quantitative/qualitative research techniques.
  • Strong competency in financial reporting, audit compliance, and data management systems relevant to donor accountability requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present technical information to both specialist and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven experience managing databases, using statistical software, and producing clear programme reports and visualisations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams, manage multiple evaluation timelines simultaneously, and thrive in a dynamic, learning-focused environment.
