About the Role

Viscar Industrial Capacity Ltd is recruiting a Marketing Intern to support its Safety in Engineering business unit based in Nairobi. This is a full-time, onsite position open to recent graduates or students pursuing qualifications in marketing, communications, or related fields. The role sits within a training, consulting, and resourcing firm that delivers information technology and engineering solutions across East Africa, with a specific focus on occupational health and safety compliance, engineering audits, and capacity building for corporate clients.

The Marketing Intern at Viscar Industrial Capacity will work alongside the Business Development and Marketing teams to build brand visibility, generate leads, and establish the company as a trusted provider of safety and engineering solutions. You will gain hands-on experience in digital marketing strategy, social media management, content creation, and campaign execution across multiple platforms while supporting a growing practice in the safety and compliance sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns that promote safety engineering services, training programs, audits, and compliance initiatives across Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and company websites.
• Produce engaging content including social media graphics, short-form videos, captions, blog excerpts, safety awareness posts, and promotional materials aligned with the Safety in Engineering brand and target audience.
• Monitor social media channels for industry trends, client feedback, safety-related discussions, and competitor activity, responding promptly to audience comments and direct messages.
• Collaborate with Business Development and Marketing colleagues to develop strategies that increase brand visibility, generate qualified leads, and position the business unit as a credible safety solutions provider.
• Prepare and distribute newsletters covering safety engineering services, industry insights, training opportunities, and company updates, while recommending tactics to expand subscriber numbers.
• Keep safety-focused blogs, articles, case studies, and project highlights current across company websites and digital channels.
• Track digital marketing performance metrics using analytics tools, compile basic reports, and suggest improvements for campaign effectiveness and audience engagement.
• Assist with event marketing, branding initiatives, proposal presentations, photography, videography, and documentation during safety trainings, field inspections, and company events for marketing use.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc/HND) in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
• Basic experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing (desirable but not required).
• Familiarity with graphic design or video editing software such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools (an advantage).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create clear, compelling messaging for professional audiences.
• Genuine interest in marketing, creativity, and a demonstrated willingness to develop new skills in a professional environment.
• Ability to research and stay informed about emerging trends in engineering, occupational health and safety (OHS), construction safety, ESG, and compliance standards.
