About the Role

Viscar Industrial Capacity Ltd is recruiting a Marketing Intern to join its Safety in Engineering business unit in Nairobi. This is a full-time, onsite position suited to graduates with a background in marketing, communications, or related disciplines. The role involves supporting the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns that promote engineering safety services, training programs, compliance initiatives, and industry expertise across multiple online channels.

The Marketing Intern at Viscar Industrial Capacity will work alongside the marketing and business development teams to build brand visibility, generate leads, and establish the organisation as a credible provider of occupational health and safety solutions in East Africa. You will manage social media platforms, create content, track campaign performance, and assist with event marketing and promotional activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the planning and delivery of digital marketing campaigns that showcase safety engineering services, training offerings, audits, and compliance programs across Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and company websites.
• Develop and publish social media content including graphics, short videos, captions, blog excerpts, safety awareness posts, and promotional materials that align with the Safety in Engineering brand and target audience.
• Monitor social media channels for industry discussions, client comments, safety trends, and competitor activity; respond promptly to inquiries and engage audiences through relevant conversation.
• Work with the Business Development and Marketing teams to design strategies that increase brand recognition, capture leads, and position the business unit as a trusted safety and engineering solutions partner.
• Prepare and distribute newsletters covering safety engineering services, industry updates, training opportunities, and company news; recommend approaches to grow subscriber numbers.
• Keep safety-related blogs, articles, case studies, and project features current across company websites and digital platforms.
• Measure social media and digital campaign results using available analytics tools; prepare performance reports and suggest improvements to engagement and reach.
• Handle photography, videography, and documentation during safety trainings, field inspections, and company events for use in marketing materials and internal communications.
• Research emerging topics in engineering, occupational health and safety, construction safety, ESG standards, regulatory compliance, and digital marketing methods relevant to the sector.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
• Practical experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing (preferred but not essential).
• Familiarity with graphic design software or video editing tools (an advantage but not required).
• Ability to write clear, engaging copy for online audiences and develop ideas for social media posts.
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take on varied marketing tasks as assigned.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple campaigns or projects at once.
