About the Role
TransAfrica Motors Ltd is recruiting for an IT Support professional to join our growing team in Nairobi. This is a full-time position within one of East Africa’s established automotive companies. The role focuses on delivering technical assistance and maintaining IT infrastructure to support our business operations across the organisation.
As a leading automotive services provider, TransAfrica Motors Ltd relies on robust IT systems to serve our customers. We’re looking for someone with hands-on technical expertise who can troubleshoot issues, manage user support requests, and contribute to keeping our systems running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-line technical support to end users across the organisation
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
- Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment and systems
- Respond to support tickets and manage user requests in a timely manner
- Perform routine system maintenance and software updates
- Document technical issues and maintain support records for future reference
- Collaborate with IT management to identify and implement system improvements
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, Higher National Diploma, or equivalent qualification in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- Proven experience working in an IT support or help desk environment
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems
- Familiarity with network basics, hardware troubleshooting, and common software applications
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or similar) are advantageous
