About the Role
Corporate Staffing Services (Kenya) Ltd is recruiting a Human Resource Officer Job (40-50K) to support day-to-day operations within the human resources function. This is a full-time position based in Kenya, serving a manufacturing sector client. You will report to senior management and work to ensure HR practices align with business objectives while managing talent across the organization.
The successful candidate will combine administrative competence with strategic thinking, translating HR policy into practical workplace management. Your work will span employee relations, compliance, performance oversight, and organizational development—making you central to how the business attracts, develops, and retains its workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide counsel to management and staff on human resources matters, including workforce planning decisions and navigating periods of organizational change.
- Work with senior leadership to convert business objectives into HR strategies that support the organization’s mission and performance targets.
- Monitor and coordinate performance management activities, succession planning processes, and identification of training requirements across the employee base.
- Review and update HR documentation—including employment contracts, role specifications, and workplace policies—to confirm alignment with Kenyan labor law and applicable industry standards.
- Build mechanisms for employee feedback and input to strengthen workplace culture and address concerns before they escalate.
- Maintain current and accurate personnel files and oversee the rollout and adherence of HR procedures company-wide.
- Compile and present regular activity reports to the client that detail HR outcomes, progress against objectives, and anticipated organizational needs.
- Act as primary contact for employee relations matters, handling disputes and disciplinary processes with consistency and fairness.
- Back organizational change initiatives and transitions by coordinating HR activities that reduce disruption and support staff through adjustment periods.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years’ experience working in human resources within manufacturing, production, or engineering sectors in a structured environment.
- Demonstrated background in performance management, employee relations, and organizational development activities.
- Working knowledge of Kenyan employment law, labor regulations, and statutory compliance obligations.
- Strong leadership capability and supervisory experience are valued.
- Able to communicate clearly with people at all organizational levels, build productive working relationships, and influence stakeholders across departments.
- Solid analytical capabilities and methodical approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Competent with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace applications.
- Available to commence work without delay.
