About the Role

AA Kenya is recruiting a Head of ICT to lead technology strategy and oversee all information and communications technology operations across the organisation. This is a full-time position based in Kenya, reporting directly to senior management. The successful candidate will shape the technology direction of the organisation, manage enterprise systems, and ensure ICT infrastructure aligns with business objectives.

As Head of ICT at AA Kenya, you will be responsible for driving strategic technology initiatives, managing large-scale IT projects, and maintaining the highest standards of security and compliance. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership of technical teams and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute technology strategy aligned with organisational goals and market developments
• Oversee the management and performance of enterprise systems, networks, and ICT infrastructure across all departments
• Establish governance frameworks, security protocols, and compliance measures to protect organisational data and systems
• Lead the planning and execution of ICT systems projects from conception through delivery and optimisation
• Manage ICT budgets, procurement processes, and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effectiveness and service quality
• Monitor and enhance the performance of all technology systems to support operational efficiency
• Build and mentor the ICT team to deliver technical excellence and service standards

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business IT, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in software development or systems management
• At least 3 years of experience in a senior leadership role managing technology teams or large-scale ICT operations
• Demonstrated knowledge of computer systems architecture, network design, and ICT infrastructure management
• Proven experience in ICT systems project management, including planning, resource allocation, and delivery
• Current membership in a recognised professional IT body or association
• Master’s degree in a related field (advantageous)
• Relevant ICT professional certification such as ITIL, PMP, or CISSP (advantageous)
