Gym Trainer at Impala Club Kenya

• Impala Club is seeking a highly a dynamic and experienced Gym & Studio Fitness Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding members through personalized fitness programs, ensuring proper use of gym equipment, and leading group fitness classes such as aerobics, yoga, and other studio-based sessions. The trainer should have a passion for health and wellness, a professional demeanor, and the ability to motivate individuals of all fitness levels.

Education

The ideal candidate will be a Kenyan citizen who has the following Key Qualifications
Professional Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, Exercise Physiology, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of proven working experience as a fitness trainer, with hands-on experience leading aerobics.
• Experience in conducting yoga group classes will be an added advantage.

Professional Certifications (at least one required):

• Certified Fitness Trainer
• Certified Group Fitness Instructor
• CPR/First Aid Certification (mandatory)

Knowledge in Technical Areas(experience);

Key Duties and deliverables

• Conduct physical assessments and create tailored workout programs.
• Guide clients in proper use of gym equipment and correct exercise techniques.
• Monitor client progress and provide ongoing support and motivation.
• Enforce safety and hygiene standards in the fitness area.
• Assist in equipment maintenance and gym cleanliness.
• Conduct group classes including aerobics, yoga, stretching, and other studio-based sessions.
• Design engaging, safe, and effective group fitness programs for various fitness levels.
• Foster a positive and inclusive group class environment.
• Adjust exercises as needed for participants with different skill levels or injuries.
• Keep accurate records of client attendance, progress, and class participation.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to member inquiries.
• Promote wellness programs and gym services to encourage member retention.
• The Gym Trainer will report to the Gym Supervisor
