Dispatcher at AAR Healthcare Kenya

Overall purpose of the job:

• To ensure that the radio room is managed in a professional and customer-friendly manner at any given shift.

Key responsibilities:

• Maintain functionality of radio and emergency communication systems.
• Allocate tasks and coordinate ambulance crew activities during shifts.
• Receive and triage emergency calls for appropriate response.
• Track ambulance locations to ensure safety and route efficiency.
• Liaise with hospitals during patient transfers and coordinate event coverage.
• Guide ambulance crews in case of route or operational challenges.
• Ensure ambulance equipment is restocked after use.
• Manage rescue billing and process Letters of Undertaking (LOUs).
• Compile and submit shift rescue reports.
• Dispatch ambulances and record rescue details accurately.

Position Requirements

• Certificate in EMT-Basic or Intermediate
• Valid BLS and ACLS certificates
• Valid EMT Licence
• At least two years of experience in Emergency Medical Dispatch
• Microsoft Office proficiency
