Guest Service Associate
The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing a variety of services and giving accurate, consistent information to guests in an efficient and courteous manner while maintaining a pleasant and accommodating personality.

- Handle guest requests in an effective way by taking ownership of the request then following-up until the matter is finalized to the guest’s satisfaction.

The Slot Attendant is responsible for monitoring an assigned area within the assigned Slot Operation in accordance with the directives as set down in the Casino Operations Manual. The Slot Attendant will ensure that the highest standards of efficiency, guest service, and security are met in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
The Slot Attendant serves as the direct contact between the patrons and the Casino Management and as such is required to conform to the highest levels of professionalism, appearance and communication.
The Casino Management may assign a Slot Attendant other duties outside the Casino Operation. The Slot Attendant is expected to perform these duties to the highest standards of efficiency, guest service and integrity.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ensure all company policies concerning the Casino Slot Operation are followed.

- Perform general maintenance and cleaning of all Slot Operation Machinery including machine lighting. Report any maintenance requirements to the Slot Head technician.
- Report any suspicious activity or security threat in the Casino to superiors and Surveillance.
- Submit daily reports/log of events of occurrences including jackpots, hopper fills, complaints and suggestions to the Slot Head Technician. Complete necessary paperwork when accessing machines.
- Assist in the Slot Drop. Record the Slot Machine readings before the assigned collection of coins/bills.
- Identify regular Slot patrons and assist Casino Hosts in tracking their play.

The Island Lifeguard is reponsible for monitoring and operating designated aquatic recreation spaces including, opening and closing while monitoring safety around the beach areas. Set up and verify that supplies and equipment are available during operating hours, replenish and maintain as needed. Interact with Guests and provide any directions/Guest service assistance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assume personal responsibility for safety and the environment. Be accountable for themselves and the safety of others in their vicinity. Environmental consciousness forms one part of this accountability.
- Perform rescue of guests in danger of drowning and be alert to accidents. Administer first aid, CPR, Oxygen and AED as needed.
- Monitor activities around aquatic recreational facilities to prevent or preempt injuries and provide assistance to guests as and when required, while ensuring the well-being of guests within the area.
- Responsible for reporting and following up with any accidents, injuries or incidents around the aquatic recreational facilities.
- Ensuring the beach areas are clean, answering questions, enforcing policies, rules and regulations in a polite yet confident manner.
- Ensuring guest interactions are kept to a minimum while on watch to avoid distraction, at the same time providing a positive guest experience.

The Second Sanitation Steward follows company rules and regulations associated with Public Health and the daily operation of the utility galley and dish wash/pot wash operations. This position is responsible for maintaining catering equipment properly and the overall cleaning of all food contact items, equipment and the catering area facilities. This position maintains the highest levels of sanitation and hygiene of the F&B catering operation.
- Supervising of all utility galley crew who perform daily operations such as dishwashing, pot-washing, restocking of the service line with plates and crockeries, deck & bulkhead cleaning and maintenance, paper towel and soap restocking and the overall cleanliness of all the galleys including the crew galley, specialty restaurant galleys, lido galley and the main galley. Ensure reasonable and proper manning of each station during hours of operation.
- Maintain proper operational effectiveness and keep the operation running smoothly, safely, and effectively.
- Ensure reasonable and proper manning of each dish wash and pot wash station during hours of operation as necessary.
- Assists the Sanitation Supervisor with training of new crew in all aspects of Norwegian Cruise Line public health and USPH/FDA requirements.
- Must be familiar with and active in the Safety and Environmental Management System (SEMS) including his/her responsibility in the safety organization according to the Crew Emergency Plan and Station Bill.

The shipboard environmental management team of each ship includes an Environmental Officer (EO) who is a three-stripe, non-watch standing officer. The EO’s primary function is the training, oversight, implementation, and verification of regulatory compliance as it relates to applicable environmental laws. The EO also provides assistance to the Fleet Regulatory Compliance Department, assisting in the development of environmental policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Administer and monitor the implementation of NCL’s Environmental Program.
- Advise the Master, Chief Engineer and other senior ship management, including all department heads on environmental compliance, policies and procedures.
- Participate in the Master’s weekly ship management meeting to provide environmental guidance and updates to the Master and the department heads.
- Ensure that all outstanding environmental compliance items requiring corrective action are included in the shipboard action log.
- Report unauthorized releases or spills into the environment to the Master, VP Fleet Regulatory Compliance and the Designated Person. In the event the Master is unavailable, or fails to report an environmental spill that the EO concludes must be reported, then he shall consult with the VP Fleet Regulatory Compliance regarding the need to make such a report.
- Represent the shipboard perspective during all shipboard reviews of environmental policies, procedures, and systems with the VP Fleet Regulatory Compliance, and others in the Marine and Technical Operations.
- Supervise the Pest Controller’s duties and responsibilities.
- Oversee the implementation of Norwegian Pest Control Procedures.
- Supervise the Environmental Operator’s duties and responsibilities.
- Regularly review all environmental logs and records, including the Oil and Waste Record Books for completeness and accuracy.
- Maintain records on shipboard activities related to environmental policies, procedures and programs, including the status of environmental management programs and training which occurs onboard.
- Maintain ship copies of all waste manifests and waste disposal receipts.
- Ensure that all wastes subject to special handling requirements are being managed properly and in compliance with company policies.
- Provide training and guidance to all crew on environmental policy, including its commitment to compliance with the letter and the spirit of applicable local, state, federal and international laws, rules and regulations.
- Assist crew in resolving environmental concerns, such as inoperative pollution control equipment, ineffective procedures, or inability to meet recycling goals.
- In cooperation with the Technical Department or at the explicit request of the Fleet Regulatory Compliance Department, evaluate environmental systems and procedures to determine compliance, quality, effectiveness and compatibility with other shipboard systems.
- Evaluate shipboard environmental operating systems to recommend any necessary contingency plans in the event of system defects/failures.
- Assess each component of the shipboard environmental program, such as recycling programs, spill response, chemical management, and waste management.
- Recommend improvements in shipboard environmental management systems, procedures and equipment to the Master and the VP Fleet Regulatory Compliance.
- Investigate and respond to inquiries or complaints of any crewmember or guest regarding perceived improper shipboard environmental practices.
