Job Objective:
To ensure the success of students and help them achieve their maximum potential by implementing the SABIS curriculum and philosophy, consistently applying SABISĀ® teaching methods.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct classes using provided lesson plans (may be required to develop plans based on provided pacing charts) for the relevant subjects, utilizing the SABIS point system for teaching.
- Grade exams related to the taught subject following the schedule and materials provided by the department.
- Address disciplinary matters and student performance concerns with the Academic Quality Controller (AQC) and Head of Department (HOD) when necessary.
- Apply the SABIS Point System to establish a conducive learning environment in the classroom.
- Supervise exams as needed, ensuring proper test conditions are maintained.
- Provide guidance and motivation to academically struggling students, supporting their improvement and progress.
- Contribute to external exam preparation by adhering to structured revision schedules (if applicable to specific grade levels).
- Assist in various duties including student testing, substituting for absent teachers, organizing lunch and transportation logistics, traffic management, and other administrative tasks assigned by school management.
- Participate in student life events by contributing to plans related to activities such as art, open houses, and physical education, in coordination with the Student Life Coordinator (SLC).
- Attend training sessions as required by school management to enhance understanding of the SABIS system and enhance student performance.
- Undertake other relevant tasks or projects as assigned by school management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Holds a Bachelorās Degree in Education or a related field.
- Proficient in English (Native English proficiency may be necessary for Infant and English Teacher roles).
- Possesses 1+ years of teaching experience.
- Holds a Teacher Service Commission Number (TSC#).
- Demonstrates professional demeanor and ethical conduct.
- Shows a track record of delivering results.
- Committed to continuous learning and self-improvement.
- Takes accountability and ownership of responsibilities.
- Exhibits excellent communication skills.
