The Accounts Assistant (Budgeting & Reporting) at Avenue Healthcare will support the finance department by collecting, organizing, and interpreting financial information. You will work across multiple data sources and collaborate with teams throughout the organization to ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and aligned with business objectives. This is a hands-on position that combines data analysis, reporting, and cost management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, organize, and analyze financial data from budgets, income statements, balance sheets, and other sources to support financial reporting and decision-making
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and conduct variance analysis to identify differences between actual results and budgeted forecasts, documenting findings and insights
- Work with various departments to collect financial data, provide analysis, and ensure alignment of financial information across the organisation
- Identify and assess financial risks, develop mitigation strategies, and report on exposures that could affect organizational performance
- Analyze cost structures, identify areas for potential savings, and contribute recommendations to cost reduction initiatives
- Prepare financial models and reports that clearly communicate financial performance, issues, risks, and recommendations to management accountants and senior staff
- Interpret financial trends and identify opportunities for operational improvement based on quantitative analysis
- Perform additional duties as directed by your supervisor in accordance with the position requirements
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- CPA II certification or ACCA qualification
- Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in finance and accounts roles
- Strong proficiency in Excel and other accounting-related software
- Demonstrated ability in data analysis and financial modeling
- Proven expertise in accounting principles and practices
- Meticulous attention to detail with a track record of 100% accuracy in financial reporting and revenue recognition
